It’s Filament February at TCP

Feb 26, 2020

Are you building a new home in 2020, or just refreshing some rooms for the new year and decade?

Either way, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the full line of TCP’s filament products. Why, you ask?

The products are energy efficient.  They use up to 85 percent less energy than halogen lamps and have very low heat generation.  This minimizes your replacement and maintenance costs.  They also have a long life – 15,000 hours.

The main difference between filament LEDs and regular LEDs is in the placement and number of individual LEDs in each bulb. While regular LEDs might use one large LED or a group of LEDs packed tightly into a small space, filament LEDs spread the diodes along several different lines or “filaments.”

Perfect for Every Room in Your Home

TCP’s quality lighting and fixtures set the right tone for every room of your newly constructed home, or your newly-refreshed space.

That makes them perfect for use in table and floor lamps, in wall sconces, ceiling fixtures and in chandeliers.  There’s a use for them literally in every room of your home, be it kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, family room, foyer or even closets.

Their unique filament LED configuration provides a uniform color output, and they are UL approved for damp and enclosed locations.  That means they can be used outdoors when protected from the elements and will withstand humidity both indoors and out.  They are also ANSI construction compliant and fit most general applications for use.

A Full Complement of Products

The line-up includes the following Classic Filament products:  A Lamps, Globe Lamps, Deco Lamps, T-Lamps, Antique Lamps and Shape Filament Lamps.

How Do They Work?

An LED filament light bulb is an LED lamp which is designed to resemble a traditional incandescent light bulb with visible filaments for aesthetic and light distribution purposes, but with the high efficiency of light emitting diodes (LEDs).

They are also more efficient than many other LED lamps.

The LED filament is composed of a metal strip with series of LEDs aligned along it. A transparent substrate, usually made from glass or sapphire materials is used to cover the LED’s. This transparency allows the emitted light to disperse evenly and uniformly without any interference or light loss.
