Linear Warranties
TCP warrants its products to abide by their respective published specifications and are free from defects in material, workmanship, and title and to operate from the date of Invoice (or date of manufacture if invoice date is not known or available) for the time periods and subject to the Terms and Conditions specified below.
This warranty only applies when TCP product are operated as specified, have been correctly wired and installed, are operated within the electrical values publicized on all labels; used in lighting equipment designed and approved for the application and in environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and air movement) within the normal specified operating range of the system.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
TCP Lamps Only
Two years from Date of Invoice (or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available). If lamps fails within this warranty period, TCP will provide a free one for one lamp replacement. No labor allowance is allowed. TCP reserves the right to request defective lamps be returned for testing and verification.
TCP Ballasts Only
Five years from Date of Invoice ( or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available). If ballasts fail within this warranty period, TCP will provide a free one for one ballast replacement along with a corresponding labor allowance as determined by TCP as specified in Services and Labor Options sections. TCP reserves the right to request defective ballasts be returned for testing and verification.
Linear Fluorescent Lamp with Instant Start Ballast Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is for a period of two years from the date of invoice (or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available), with all components to be ordered, assembled and shipped from a TCP location. This only applies to TCP components; for non-TCP components, the supplier or manufacturer must be contacted for warranty claims. Any repair, alteration or modification of the product, including replacement of product components with components of other manufacturers will void the warranty in its entirety. TCP reserves the right to request the return of all allegedly defective products or components for testing and verification.
Linear Fluorescent Lamp with Program Rapid Start Ballast Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is for a period of two years from the date of invoice (or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available), with all components to be ordered, assembled and shipped from a TCP location. This only applies to TCP components; for non-TCP components, the supplier or manufacturer must be contacted for warranty claims. Any repair, alteration or modification of the product, including replacement of product components with components of other manufacturers will void the warranty in its entirety. TCP reserves the right to request the return of all allegedly defective products or components for testing and verification.
TCP Combination Lamp and Ballast System Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is for a period of five years from the date of invoice (or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available), with all components to be ordered, assembled and shipped from a TCP location. This only applies to TCP components; for non-TCP components, the supplier or manufacturer must be contacted for warranty claims. Any repair, alteration or modification of the product, including replacement of product components with components of other manufacturers will void the warranty in its entirety. TCP reserves the right to request the return of all allegedly defective products or components for testing and verification.
Fluorescent Ballast/LED Driver Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is for a period of five years from the date of invoice (or date of manufacture if proof of purchase is not available), with all components to be ordered, assembled and shipped from a TCP location. This only applies to TCP components; for non-TCP components, the supplier or manufacturer must be contacted for warranty claims. Any repair, alteration or modification of the product, including replacement of product components with components of other manufacturers will void the warranty in its entirety. TCP reserves the right to request the return of all allegedly defective products or components for testing and verification.
These lamp and ballast warranties do not apply to failures caused by acts of God, or as a result of any abuse, misuse, abnormal use, or use in violation of any applicable standard, code or instructions for use in installations including those contained in the National Electric Code (NEC), the Standards for Safety of Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL), Standard for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or, in Canada, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). Technical Consumer Products reserves the right to inspect failed lamps, and/or ballast to determine the cause of failure and patterns of lamp usage. The date of purchase and lamp installation date must be verified to validate the elapsed operating hours if a warranty claim is made.
Return of Defective Products
After contacting TCP and receiving a return authorization number, the user shall promptly return the product at the customer’s expense to TCP after receiving instructions as to if, when and where to ship product. Failure to follow this procedure voids this warranty.
The foregoing shall constitute the exclusive remedy of the purchaser and the sole liability of Technical Consumer Products for lamp and ballast warranties. NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS MADE OR IS TO BE IMPLIED. In no event shall Technical Consumer Products be liable for any other cost of damages including lost profits, incidental, special or consequential damages. TCP reserves the right to examine all failed lamps and/or ballasts and reserves the right to be the sole judge as to whether any lamps and/or ballast are defective and covered under this warranty.
