TCP, Inc. Sponsors Green Apple Festival
Energy efficient lighting innovator TCP, Inc. celebrated Earth Day as a sponsor of the third annual Green Apple Festivals in Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami and Washington, D.C. During the four-city stop, TCP educated participants on the cost savings and environmental benefits of energy efficient lighting as well as donated more than 3,000 energy saving light bulbs to residents.
“Switching to energy efficient lighting is one of the easiest and most immediate ways consumers can make a big impact on the environment,” said Jenifer Oldsey, Manager of Education/Fundraising, TCP, Inc. “The Green Apple Festival provided an ideal venue for us to educate Americans who have committed to making environmentally-conscious lifestyle choices that will benefit our world now and for generations to come.”
Billed as America’s largest Earth Day celebration, the Green Apple Festival started in New York in 2006 as a way to educate consumers on a wide variety of environmental topics. This year’s events attracted more than 200,000 attendees with more than 475 musical acts, 95 green companies and 60 environmental non-profit organizations participating in the festivities.
