TCP Earns the Healthy Worksite Award

TCP, Inc. has been named as a Healthy Ohio ‘Healthy Worksite Award’ recipient, which is given only to Ohio employers that make a serious commitment to employee health.  The award is part of a larger program called Healthy Ohioans, a statewide initiative of the Ohio Department of Health to increase awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

TCP combined various worksite health and wellness programs with excellent results and progress, including a smoking cessation program that has already helped two employees become tobacco-free.

“Your company’s exemplary efforts to provide employees with programs that encourage physical activity, better nutrition and the prevention or cessation of tobacco use are to be commended,” said Cynthia Burnell, Director of Healthy Ohio, in a letter to TCP.

The TCP human resources team has been working with the Healthy Ohioans Business Council for 24 months to adopt and create these health and wellness programs for TCP employees.
