TCP, Inc. Donates 2,500 CFLs to Enterprise Community Conference

Conference provides trends in affordable housing and community development

TCP, Inc., the manufacturer of the most compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in the world, in partnership with The Home Depot Foundation, recently donated 2,500 n:vision ENERGY STAR approved CFLs to guests who attended the Enterprise Community Conference in Cleveland, an annual conference that provided the latest trends in affordable housing solutions and community development.

This national conference, which took place November 14 – 16,
brought in hundreds of community development professionals from across the country and featured new and improved workshops, informative networking roundtable discussions, mobile learning labs and the conference EXPO.

In addition to the CFL donation, TCP had a company booth at the conference to educate attendees on the energy-savings benefits of CFLs. One of the main attractions at the booth was a comparator demonstrating the wattages of a CFL to an incandescent light bulb, allowing attendees to view first-hand the energy savings of a CFL.

“We were happy to provide CFLs and educate attendees at the Enterprise Community Conference on energy efficient lighting,” said Ellis Yan, CEO of TCP, Inc. “Using CFLs is one of the easiest and simplest steps a person can take to save energy and reduce harmful carbon emissions, and this conference provided us with the opportunity to educate key individuals in the housing development market.”
