Title: Manager, Business Development Manager
Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the inside sales team. The manager’s main responsibility is to maintain customer satisfaction by defining and developing service expectations, and problem-solving information. The manager will train and maintain a staff to provide direct sales support to TCP customers.
Essential Duties
Lead, manage and develop the BDM’s.
Primary order management and order entry which involves order cancellations, substitutions, order maintenance, inventory availability inquires, pricing inquires, fielding basic technical questions.
Utilizing promotions and other sales tools to generate orders
Manage and grow existing account base, exceed budgeted sales and increase market share.
Promoting and selling TCP products to new and retained customers
Development of customer relationships within territory/region
Ability to build relationships and work well across functions
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (SKAs)
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development/coaching, objective setting, and measurement skills.
Experience in a collaborative team environment, delegating workload and responsibilities
The ability to effectively create and secure new business opportunities
Exceptional written skills
Proficient in MS word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Excellent follow-up skills
Able to multi-tasking
Strong business and decision making skills

Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in business
Prior experience in lighting field a plus
