TCP Expands Full Spring CFL Products at LightFair - 5/20/2010
TCP Inc., the world leader in compact fluorescent lamp manufacturing and technology, announced expansions to its already extensive full-spring CFL product line at this week’s LightFair Show in Las Vegas, NV. These exciting new products serve to further confirm TCP’s leadership position in quality and technology in energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps.
“TCP is continuing to invest and expand our leading-edge CFL products, because our customers believe CFL’s are the most practical and economical way to help reduce lighting’s impact on world energy demand”, said Ellis Yan, CEO of TCP. “We already have the most comprehensive CFL product line, with more than 1,000 sku’s stocked in our facilities, covering all commercial and residential lighting applications, color temperatures, and lamp configurations”, said Yan. “And we continue to expand our cutting-edge full spring-design CFL line, which already offer best-in-class lamp performance, long life, and unparalleled energy efficiency.”
TCP is expanding its popular TCP-Pro 489-Series full spring CFL line, with the addition of 24 new sku’s including 5-watt, 27-watt, 32-watt, and 42-watt full spring models. All of TCP’s full spring CFL products utilize “Radial/Symmetry” lamp design, which reduces the lamps measured overall length (MOL), and increases lumen output and efficacy. These lamps also feature proven TCP technologies such Nano-Ti lamp pre-coating for improved lumen maintenance and lower UV emissions. These products are offered in a wide array of wattages and color temperatures, from 2700 kelvin to 6500 kelvin. These new CFLs have a long rated life, and provide the best lumens-per-watt (LPW) performance in the industry.
TCP’s is also adding 12 new sku’s to its industry-leading InstaBright™ CFL product line, including a 14 watt G30 and 14-watt R40 reflectors. TCP’s InstaBright™ products are the best performing lamps of their kind in the industry, offering 100% better start up lumens and 90% better run-up time.
Also new is a 27/19/14-watt 3-Way full spring lamp, which provides instant-on performance and excellent lamp life. By moving to the full spring design, TCP’s was able to reduce the lamp’s measured overall length (MOL) more than 13%, to 5.1 inches, so the lamps fit in far more applications.
And now all TCP lamps are available with “TCP-ARMOR” shatter-resistant lamp coating, which helps contain the lamp glass and reduces the potential of any spillage should a CFL lamp be dropped on the floor. TCP-ARMOR also provides a unique moisture barrier, making the lamps safer and more water-resistant when used in outdoor applications.
All TCP lamps also use environmentally-friendly amalgam, which reduces mercury content to well below the US EPA’s “Energy Star” standards. TCP CFL products are tested and certified to meet/exceed FCC and UL compliance, and they also meet the new RoHS requirements. TCP is also proud to have received the EPA’s “2010 Energy Star Partner of the Year” award for the second year in a row.
